~ WHAT IF LIFE ~
What if life could commune,
What will it draw about you?
If life could look back at you in tears,
It wishes to tell you what it cheers and fears.
If life could look back at you in pain,
It questions if your life has joyous reign.
If life could bid you goodbye,
What are the memories that have gone by?
If life would make you run,
Will you have no fun under the sun?
What if life could commune,
What will it draw about you?

I recently saw something that shocked me into realisation of how blessed I am in life and I should never complain. An uncle from church just showed me today a video of a man's house which was in ruins. But the man said he can't leave because there isn't anywhere to go. The house has only one room from what I saw. A huge space with everything simply arranged. It's like kitchen appliances are in one corner, a bed in the middle of the room, and a wooden table with some chairs lying around. The house had no roof. The zinc was basically hanging off the roof and there was no cover at all. He's basically just exposed to the weather. There's nothing to protect him from the rain.
I've seen things like this before but somehow when I saw the video, I was once again awakened to the plight of some people. It's so easy for us to be carried away by the treasures of life and complain about things that we don't have when these people almost have nothing. While some people struggle to make a living out of nothing, I feel some of us are giving our lives to nothing. We have a lot of waking up to do.
I have learned to keep our expectations of people at bay. If people know me well, I like to trust people. I don't like having a prejudice because it makes me feel bitter and miserable. I like to think of people as good and warm. But sadly, disappointment was just right behind those expectations. And well, let's just say I was indeed disappointed by some people. But I don't want to judge people but just let go.
Well, I'm a believer in the fact that people are here on Earth for a reason and the only way we can get through life is to be a good person and to have faith that God is in control, no matter what.

I'm gonna sound a little harsh today but then again, I am the betch of the three, so there.
I've been studying in KL now for a year give or take a couple of months and can't help but notice some things about people that either make me shrug in whatever-ness or cringe.
Well, the first thing is about some KL girls. I don't get why some of them speak with an American accent. Or at least they attempt to, with utmost failure I might add. It's soooooo FAKE. But you know, I took a step back and thought maybe I was jumping to conclusions too quickly. So I asked around and apparently they come from Malaysia, they studied in Malaysia their whole lives, they studied in public schools. I don't get it. I just do not get it. And it's not like it sounds intelligent. They take after those bimbos from those reality TV series and don't even make me start on Paris Hilton. It's as though when they were kids, they said "Someday I'm gonna grow up and sound like a bimbo! I'm like sooooooo excited....." But yes, I guess people will always be people.
And the other thing I noticed is how people use God's name in vain. And I'm not shocked, don't get me wrong, but I've always wondered why people don't swear in a deity that they worship. They're always using Jesus' name or God's name or one of the saints' names. You guys have seen it in western films, you guys don't need an introduction. Why can't it be "Oh Shakti and Siva in heaven!" or "Buddha damn it!"? It's ALWAYS God or Jesus that they use. I mean, not that I'm encouraging people to use their gods' names in vain, but it really is rather pointless and contradicting for them that they swear in God's name when they don't believe in Him. For me, I try not use the Lord's name in vain, as I'm Christian, what more non-Christians? I suppose it's those movies people watch now.
I notice a lot of guys have a sort of handshake now (page Snoop Dogg if you aren't sure of how it looks like). Usually the African American kids who are very into hip hop and rap would do that. And for some reason, it applies to Malaysian guys as well. It's not that I'm against that, but when Malaysian guys start to talk hip hop with me, I get nervous because I dunno how to reply them. I dunno if I'm suppose to talk hip hop as well or should I go into an Irish accent. I'm unsure anymore, really. Oh yes, the dressing must be betched about as well. I get if the kids in America do it, but why the hell do Malaysians follow suit? They've got the bling bling, the big t-shirts, the lopsided cap. First of all, the big t-shirts are not a good idea, considering we live in a blazing hot country. They're gonna sweat till they are reduced to a puddle and a hat. Honestly. Get real.
And for no reason, I just saw a cat chase a dog. Times are changing, huh? Social shifts. Ah.
Goodbye.

Obvious Potential That Should Not Be Put To Waste...
When talking about Pizza, in Malaysia, people would think of Pizza Hut and some would also think of Domino's Pizza. Both have their own specialty but my choice would be Domino's Pizza as the more preferable one. Probably it is due to the choice of thin crusts which make the pizza taste better. Anyway, I am not going to promote them as I am not paid to do so but I think Domino's Pizza could easily expand it's business but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I know that it is very famous for it's fast delivery but since I had the free time, I went to dine at the Domino's Pizza restaurant. When ordering, I was required to give my phone number and my name. Not only that, the cups used in Domino's were the polystyrene cups and I had to eat the Pizza right from the boxes.
It was certainly a surprised for me and I think even though they do not prioritize dine in customers, they should at least have certain standards as they are a big franchise and a well known one too.

Therapy
~Betch
Okay, I've got a story based on something that may interest you and my blog partner, the Politician. Last weekend, I was in counselling with a trainee therapist and in a way, it could be called a therapy session. but you see, I was only there for the experience and the bonus marks. I did not have any social or behavioural problems.
Haha, I'm sorry for bursting your bubble. I know the moment you guys saw that I was in therapy, you all wanted a little drama. You know the usual sofa, and me lying down and getting hypnotised and stuff. Well, sorry lah... no such thing happened. I was not prescribed vicodin or any drug to keep me sane. So rest assured, I'm still me...*twitch*...*twitch*... SEE? :)
Okay, so this therapy thing was for my class called Human Personality and in the bonus mark section, there was this counselling session that students had to apply for. So I signed up without regard to what I'll say during the session. Just within that day, a woman called me to set up an appointment and before I know it, I was on my way to counselling.
The funniest bit was when I had somehow ranted on and on about my family, friends, myself, my interests, what bores me, what doesn't, what annoys me.... and the therapist wouldbe nodding intently as I went on and on. She was exactly how you would imagine a therapist to look like... talk about your stereotypes huh? LOL. A friend of mine suggested I pretend to have an imaginary friend and I replied "What am I, a five-year-old ar?" I was tempted to say "I see dead people and I see one sitting on your shoulders. She's pweeetttiiiieeee..." Not funny? I didn't say it was for everyone. Scare the poor trainee therapist only. Haha.
Human Personality is the bomb, seriously. The work, not so much, but it's really learning about the diverse personalities that is inborn in every human being. It all comes down to who you uniquely are as an individual. Surprisingly, it doesn't diss the existence of God, like how some psychology subjects do. Let's face it, we're complex creatures.
I'm so psyched right now.

Who Started It First?!
Recently, another member who is the assemblyman for Malim Nawar, Perak, Keshwinder Singh has quited Democratic Action Party (DAP) and became Barisan Nasional (BN)-friendly but he is independent. Of course many of the voters and the opposition would be angry of this.
There have been allegations that the assemblyman, Keshwinder Singh was bought by the Barisan Nasional. One of the method was that his debt was settled by .... Regardless of that, whether it is true or not, I think it is up to him whether to stay as being an opposition or vice-versa. The DAP planned to bring him to the court. According to Ngeh Koo Ham, all elected representative in the state were required to sign a contract which requires a its elected representative to pay a 5 million compensation if they quit the party. If this is true, I would salute DAP as they have take a step ahead and they have fore-sighted accurately!
Everything was started by Anuar Ibrahim after the 12th General Election on March 8, 2008. Now it is being done unto you, what is it like? It was an utterly desperate move by Anwar to be popular and in control but, in fact, it was rubbish. The opposition suggested to the government that there should be a legislation to prevent the elected representatives from switching parties. If I was the government, I will not entertain them too! Moreover, Barisan Nasional does not have such problems.
The clause above cannot be applied for Datuk Zaid Ibrahim because he quited the party honorably.
Please view it. Thank you =)

Why Najib should stay as the PM?
Najib Tun Razak, the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia has been alleged by many parties to be involved in the case of the cruel killing of the Mongolian model, Altantuya Shaariibuu. Whether he is involved in it or not, I don't know. What important is that he has been doing a good job as a Prime Minister. Based on what I see, he has not been shaken as a Prime Minister because at the moment, his leadership has been good. He has not done any mistake that could lead to him being unpopular and possibly, lead to the same event that has happened to Pak Lah (the fifth Prime Minister).
At the time when he became Prime Minister, many people were afraid. It was mainly due to the case of the Mongolian model but after being a Prime Minister for more than 1 year, he has brought a lot of changes to the country, especially in the economy. Yesterday, he has announced the abolishment of the quota system by the government. (More on this, click here http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/6/12/nation/20100612201303&sec=nation)
The thing that worries me would be the 'underground' power that nobody sees, maybe some do. Mahathir once said in his speech that he knows what is best for the country but at times, he cannot do it because there is people or force from below that are against it. I think same goes for the current Prime Minister. If he does something wrong, he will be pressured and possibly, end up being like what happened to Pak Lah. Thus, it will also affect the country.
Maybe this will give my dear readers a hint!
