First was the attack on the South Korean navy ship killing more than 100 crews on board. It was found that the torpedo was from North Korea and there was no action taken against the communist country. Moreover, the North Koreans describe the tragedy as "a great diplomatic victory", said by the North Korean U.N. ambassador. Now, for no valid reason, again, the North Koreans have attacked an small island of the south which is vulnerable. After all of that, they show no regret but they are proud for what they have done.
The USS George Washington being sent to the Yellow Sea after the North Korea's shelling of the South Korea.
Military drills performed with the South Koreans.
Those incidents have led the South Korea and it's ally, the United States to carry out military drills to be prepared for any further threats. America has brought it's nuclear powered warships which shows how serious this matter is and international pressure has been placed on China to not support the North Korea. The U.N. security council wanted to impose more sanctions against the North Korea however, China, who is a permanent member of the security council has used it's veto power to go against the decision.
International pressure are now being placed on China so that action can be taken against the North Korea. I have seen in a undercover documentary which shows the people in North Korea are suffering and have no knowledge at all of the outer world. The treat the leader of the North Korea as God and are willing to do anything for him. However, the same cannot be said for the leader who is ignorant of what is happening to his people and he uses total dictatorship to control the people there. They have got no connection at all and is not able to go out of North Korea or they will be prosecuted to death.
I hope that the international pressure will make China regain back its senses. The only way to overcome these unnecessary death is to take out the leader of the North Korea and let its people see the world. What would you say this? Feel free to disagree with the author of the posts.

Christmas is descending on us all and I see people are relaxing and looking forward to the end of this year. People just wanna sit back by the fire, cuddled with their families and sing 'I'll Be Home for Christmas'. That's one of my favourite Christmas songs. The feel of the song always makes me visualise a sense of warmth spreading throughout my body. Personally, I like the peace that comes with Christmas, it may be because it's the day that believers acknowledge the day of the Lord's birth into this world.
I think Christmas is a time where people basically retreat and reflect on the year. We think about what we've done, the people we met, the good times and the bad... and then we think about how we can make good changes for ourselves. As innocent and child-like as I sound, but I think it's more important how you've made a positive impact in the lives of people around you. People hide their insecurities and mistakes and they beat themselves up about it, thinking they're the only ones in the world. They feel all alone. So look around you... and talk to those that you feel need to talk, let them know that someone cares.
I may sound mushy and emo here, but you have no idea how much of an impact you can have in someone's life. Humans are created by God to have feelings and empathy towards others, hence sharing in their burdens and enlightening one another through lessons and tribulations in life. We are just designed that way to be connected with others.
This Christmas, may God bless you all! (and every other day afterwards as well :) )

Good times.

Woooowww, I can almost feel the virtual dust on this blog. I shouldn't be surprised because the last update was more than 3 weeks ago. I will never know how people can actually update their blogs every week. Some even sooner! Sighz. Not that that's a bad thing of course :)
Anyway, moving on... since the fall semester started up for me, so much has happened. Things were revealed to me in a way that made time fly even faster than it once had... in fact, time went by so fast that I didn't even have time to absorb it all. I make it sound like I have discovered the medical cure for cancer, but no, I assure you it is nothing of the grand sort. Or scientific for that matter. I've just had a really great time getting to know people better and growing with them. Naturally but unfortunately, I've stumbled into people who are... (how do I say this without being judgmental?)....difficult. Yes, let's just put it that way. AH, but such is life. We should live the best we can.
So I've discovered that I'm rather agile in the water. I'm not talking about swimming, but water captain ball. Yeah, I was at my Christian Fellowship retreat and we were playing that. That was one sport in my whole life that I actually enjoyed playing to the fullest. Honestly! You can ask around. That camp was such an escape from my busy life, it certainly was rewarding to find rest in God (the purpose of the camp). And all the people in camp... they were just amazing to be around.
Ah, good times, good times...
Okay, moving on to other funny moments. Like this one time when I saw a dude smoking a cigarette in the rain. I should have taken a picture, honestly. It was fascinating to watch him light his cigarette again and again, scratching his head every time the cigarette would extinguish. First of all, I dunno about this but can an unfinished and put-out cigarette be lit again? Smokers, cancer lovers, anyone to help me here? Well anyway, people are just interesting lah, you know?
When I was returning from camp with a friend one afternoon, I saw this white dude trying to hitch a ride from someone. In a movie, that's usual and okay... but in Malaysia? Hmmm... I wanted to ask my friend to stop the car so I can get down and tell the fell, "Ermmm, dude... it's wonderful that you actually think people are gonna wanna give you a lift and all like in America, but it just doesn't work in Malaysia... so why don't you call a cab or something?"
That's all I have for now and the post is getting long so I don't want anyone to stress.

Is being good worth it?
After looking at things for the past 1 year, I learnt a lot and discovered many new things. Being in a complete different group than I was before, my conscience is really being put to the test.
Studying in a place which consists of almost 99% students who are scholars is definitely a tough place to be in because the peer pressure is high but I am sure that it is the same everywhere. One thing that differentiates is the people, here, who might become successful engineers, academicians, programmers and probably the leaders of various organizations and country, are doing their 'BEST' in getting the highest results in whatever way possible. The best meaning they would do anything, even though it is bad....
Many creative methods were used to cheat at tests that would result in them having almost perfect score! In their opinion, that's the most important thing! Thus, making honest people to turn bad and want to follow them in order to excel in studies but in the wrong way!
Not only that, in order to save money, these future leaders are shop lifting, stealing and would do anything to benefit them. Please do bear in mind that there people maybe the future leaders.... What about those who are poor and not educated? Even the rich are stealing, what about the poor?
I really hope that they come into their senses and do the right thing in order to slow down the effects of Armageddon- the end of the world. Some of the bad things done are just beyond imagination...

The ridiculously high car prices in Malaysia
BMW 535i sells for RM178,000 in the US
In the United States of America (a developed country which we are also
aspiring to become by the year 2020) a 2009 model BMW 535i Sedan is
selling for about USD50,367.00. This is only RM178,000 – about the
price of a Toyota Camry 2.4L here in Malaysia . The same BMW sells in
Malaysia for about RM450,000.

The Ministers continue making pronouncements about the car industry as though nothing has happened. I hope everyone will please wake up. The Government has a real chance of getting thrown out of office in about three years. The people will not accept inept answers anymore. The ridiculous car prices in Malaysia is an issue that is just beginning to get more attention and publicity. It is going to become a really big issue in the near future. Be forewarned.

Innocence.
~Betch
Apparently, I have been labelled 'holy', 'goodie goodie', 'church boy', and 'innocent' by many of my friends and family. I'm never usually a person who would give a shit but this is getting too much. Yes I realise that I don't swear much, I don't smoke, I don't drink much, I don't do drugs, I try not to lie, I don't do anything to step out of line and I take my faith seriously. I'm sure people would agree that that's good, right?
So why do you guys moan and complain about me being that way? Would you rather I be the complete opposite? Would you rather I be a rebellious son? Would you rather I be a backstabbing friend? Or perhaps a crackhead or a drunkie? No offense, but aren't there enough of you guys out there? I mean, let's be realistic now, you guys can be pretty full of shit. I'm just saying.
Maybe it's some initiation these days that I must do the things above to become an ideal guy to some people. Then again, what do I know, right? I'm just an innocent guy anyway. Pardon me if I have made some of you gasp but I don't keep in touch with nonsense like this.
People, I'm just the way I am. Please stop saying stupid things like how I'm all innocent and crap. It's very ignorant to be honest. No one in this world is truly innocent. It pisses me off really when people call me that.
I can almost predict people would say I'm emo in the comment box after this post.
I would love to continue but I think I may get irrational if I do. So yeah.

~ WHAT IF LIFE ~
What if life could commune,
What will it draw about you?
If life could look back at you in tears,
It wishes to tell you what it cheers and fears.
If life could look back at you in pain,
It questions if your life has joyous reign.
If life could bid you goodbye,
What are the memories that have gone by?
If life would make you run,
Will you have no fun under the sun?
What if life could commune,
What will it draw about you?
