Recently, another member who is the assemblyman for Malim Nawar, Perak, Keshwinder Singh has quited Democratic Action Party (DAP) and became Barisan Nasional (BN)-friendly but he is independent. Of course many of the voters and the opposition would be angry of this.
There have been allegations that the assemblyman, Keshwinder Singh was bought by the Barisan Nasional. One of the method was that his debt was settled by .... Regardless of that, whether it is true or not, I think it is up to him whether to stay as being an opposition or vice-versa. The DAP planned to bring him to the court. According to Ngeh Koo Ham, all elected representative in the state were required to sign a contract which requires a its elected representative to pay a 5 million compensation if they quit the party. If this is true, I would salute DAP as they have take a step ahead and they have fore-sighted accurately!
Everything was started by Anuar Ibrahim after the 12th General Election on March 8, 2008. Now it is being done unto you, what is it like? It was an utterly desperate move by Anwar to be popular and in control but, in fact, it was rubbish. The opposition suggested to the government that there should be a legislation to prevent the elected representatives from switching parties. If I was the government, I will not entertain them too! Moreover, Barisan Nasional does not have such problems.
The clause above cannot be applied for Datuk Zaid Ibrahim because he quited the party honorably.
Please view it. Thank you =)
